How to Backup Chrome Data
Hello Friends,
In this video, I’m going to show you how to download your Chrome data.
Step 1: Open Chrome Browser
Firstly, open the Chrome browser, then type takeout.google.com.
Step 2: Sign in to Google
It will ask for a sign-in process, so sign in with your Gmail and password.
Step 3: Deselect All
Scroll down and first deselect all.
Step 4: Select Chrome Data
Now scroll down and select Chrome bookmarks, history, and other settings from Chrome. You will see multiple formats; all Chrome data is included.
Step 5: Click on “Next”
Scroll down, then click on Next.
Step 6: Select Delivery Method
Now select the delivery method. You can select Dropbox, OneDrive, or Email. Choose your preference.
Step 7: Select File Type and Size
Select the file type and size. It’s recommended to choose .zip files as they can be opened on almost any computer. Choose the size according to your requirements and your Chrome data.
Step 8: Create Export
Click on Create Export. Google will create a copy of your Chrome data. This process can take a long time, possibly hours or days to complete. You will receive an email when your export is complete.
Step 9: Download Your Data
Once the export is complete, you will get an email from Google Takeout saying your data is ready to download.
Click on Download your file.
Step 10: Open the Downloaded File
Now, open the downloaded file. You will see old files here like extensions, search, browser history, reading list, and bookmarks.
